Pair that with a ton of prizes and cash to be given away and you will have a night to remember in December here at bestbet Jacksonville in 2019.

Let’s take a closer look at the qualifying races for the upcoming weekend, two each, over 550, 660, and 770 yards.

Monday evening December 9th, 2020 – Round 1 of Holiday Extravaganza

Race 4 – (660 Yards) – Talk about running the best of your career at the right time. Pat C Jacob has dominated in 4 of his last 5 efforts but moves back to 660 in this effort. He can run and win at this distance as well. So, don’t sleep on him. Post makes Lk’s I Got This look tough as she has a pair of quinielas from the red box where she is tonight. Late she will make her presence known. Others to consider as the solid grade A chasing threat Wp’s Twisted Lady and the newcomer to the distance, Tmc’s Skatman. (5-1-8-3)

Race 7 – (770 Yards) – Experience is the key when you don’t run many of these longer races. So Rs Polly Eyes gets the nod in this one. She finished 3rd twice in the Thanksgiving Marathon Stakes Races and will find a way to improve on those numbers in this effort. Ww Iselle also was a competitor in the stakes and finished 2nd after leading early in round number 1. Look for a big early effort and for her to hang around late to challenge. Keep a close eye on the late gaining threat over 660 yards Kc’s Blossom and the well posted running hot off a win factor that is Gs Anderson. (8-6-5-3)

Race 9 – (660 Yards) – Not the names you are used to, but this race offers up some great front running talent over the added distance. Rtss Gonwithdawin just has the break and the rest is history. Without the lead she is not the same greyhound, but alone in front, WOW! She has won by 17, 13, and 9 in her last 6 starts. More of the same. If she doesn’t make the lead, then Rpg Get You Back will be the one who does. She has won 4 of her last 6 races and finished in the money in 6 straight trips. She is posted well and will factor. I also like the returning threat Pat C Woozy, who is off a rest and seems ready to go, and Ww Mikhail has had some rough trips, but back at 660 he will break better and could surprise as well. (3-2-7-5)

Race 10 – (550 Yards) – Undefeated, well Ww Blazin Crest is since coming to Jacksonville and tonight he looks to continue that run. This will not be an easy trip, but his late speed and post position will be the key to his success in this effort. He will not be in front early, but he will be at the wire. Leading the way is your stakes winner Pat C News. We all know he can hit the lid, steal lengths, leads, and races, but he is short late too. If he gets too far ahead, he will wire this field, but he has been caught in back to back trips, tonight could be the third. Also, around the pace throughout will be the always in the hunt runner Lee Fernando, and late no greyhound at the racetrack has more catch up speed in late stages of a sprint race than L’s Sum Dog. The cagey stakes vet is as fast as he wants to be. Is tonight the night for him to shine again? (8-6-4-1)

Race 12 – (550 Yards) – A winning of 5 of his last 6 starts, Signature Strut is hard to ignore in this effort. Despite the middle post, he will break well and overcome all obstacles to see his win streak stretch to 4 races in a row. It won’t be a cakewalk by any means as the ultra-talented First Coast Classic winner Lk’s Alexis is in the building in her very best starting box. She has break early speed but can get outdueled on occasion. She has not missed the quiniela in 6 straight and tonight the trend continues. Tough battle, pick em! Also throwing his hat into the ring will be Wanna B A Champ. Running hot, he can close fast as well and look to keep applying pressure that has seen him finish in the trifecta in 4 straight trips. Ww Just A Ticket could get a look here as well. Thriving since returning from Southland. A tough outing last time, but before that, a pair of impressive wins. If he gets loose outside, he could factor as well. (5-1-2-7)

Race 14 – (770 Yards) – By far the choice in my opinion, Pat C Quen looks to be the one to beat. He dominated in round 1 of the Thanksgiving Marathon and finished a close second in the finals. He has all the tools to get the job done and draws in with only one other grade A greyhound. OUCH! This could get U-G-L-Y! Gs Devin Ann might not have 770 liens showing, but she has run this distance before and can hang against the better greyhounds. She will not flash big, but best of the rest is in her grasp tonight. Kw Cassadee Pope was a solid 4th in both rounds of the Thanksgiving Marathon Stakes including the finals. She keeps pace again from the same post and finds a way into the money. Now the flyer pick. A grade A sprinter to 770 with no 660 lines??? You never know what you are going to get… She might just surprise us all, so I get Jennifer Lacy in the picks, JUST IN CASE! (3-2-6-5)
