At the top of the hour, bestbet Jacksonville Tournament Director Johnny Pham put cards in the air for Day 2 of the WPTDeepStacks Jacksonville Main. Blinds are at 2,000/4,000 with a 4,000 big blind ante and the average stacks is 162,000.
Day 2 Ready to Go
Two starting flights are in the books for the WPTDeepStacks Main Event and today 82 players return with an eye towards making the live-streamed final table. But first, they need to make it through Day 2.
The two starting flights combined to put 446 entries into the Main Event and Kenny Kemple (pictured) leads them when they return this afternoon. He bagged the lead for Day 1A with 577,000 and he was joined by Stephen Strout (562,000) and Lakisha Slaughter (524,000) as the only three players over 500K. Kemple has nearly a 200,000 lead over fourth place returner Brian Haas who held the lead from Day 1B.
There are plenty of other talented players still in the hunt including Brandon Caputo, Thayer Rasmussen, Matthew Leecy, Michael Jagroo, Toby Boas, and Angel Vu along with bestbet Poker Show hots Allison Hollander.
There first order of business will be the money bubble. With 56 spots getting paid, it should hit around the first break with a min-cash locking up $2,187.
Blind levels will continue to run 40 minutes long. Day 2 will continue into the evening until only nine players remain and they will be set for a return tomorrow to play the final table in front of the WPT.com live-stream cameras.
Cards to back in the air at noon and we will bring you all the action from start to finish.
