Round 3 bestbet Puppy Stakes

The field has been trimmed down and that means that the action is heating up here in the quarter-finals of the bestbet Puppy Stakes. Five full races of greyhounds are left, and each will be battling it out for those coveted points and a chance to move on to the semi-finals. Tow greyhounds remain undefeated, but the rest of the points are spread out all over the place. Almost everyone has a chance tonight, all it takes it a big-time effort. Who is up to the task? Let’s see if we can help you figure it out.

Monday evening May 21st, 2018 – Quarterfinals of the bestbet Puppy Stakes

Race 7 – Back in the 8 box and back winning for Lk’s Black Gold. Once again, she might be beat to the turn, Iron Hearted is the best breaker at the racetrack, but he is also short late and Black Gold will not be from this outside post position. She will have to be on her game, and if she is, this will be her race to lose. No doubt she will be challenged for the resurging threat Kc’s Rich. Rich has found his form again and is proving to be a big-time threat in the rounds. He can close late and could upset if it all goes his way early on. Don’t sleep on Lnt Batman either. Forget the last one, and tonight from a better post position, he too could be a viable option with a strong late closing effort. (8-4-5-3)

Race 9 – No doubt about who is going to get picked in this race! Jedi Auntie Pho has NOT LOST yet in her career! She is a perfect 8 for 8 at the racetrack and I showing my signs of slowing down. She posted up the best time last time out and should do it again in this effort. Try as they might, the race here is for place! That will be a contest one to boot! Kentucky Rich has not missed the quiniela in 5 straight races, including back to back 2nd in the rounds. He will have his hands full here as the better than my lines show runner Pat C Alex needs to get back on track to move on, and the hot off a win last time out runner Jack’s Atwitzend will look to make the most of the post once again. (6-4-1-7)

Race 11 – Everything going for Lk’s Berry Frost in this one. She loves the rail, check, she has enough early speed to see the lead, check, and she is red hot winning 3 of her last 4 races, including one in the stakes. She can be short on occasion, but tonight is not that occasion. Making her work will be the already trying Se’s Fast Fanny, who also won a round of the stakes, along with the solid chasing grade A Vicki Of Ruckus, and don’t sleep on Ww Might Tieton either. He might not have the pedigrees as the others, still in grade D, but when he is in the open, this pup can flat out fly. (1-4-3-5)

Race 13 – Hot hand in the evening matched up race. Dc Thunder Dog is coming in off a big-time victory last time out. He broke well in that effort and will need to come out in a hurry again in this trip if he wants yet another W on the score sheet. He will be threatened by the first-round winner, from the same 4 box she had on that trip, Sumalee. A closer by nature, she will make it interesting in the second half of this effort. Early, Saber Crush might throw his hat into the ring as he tries to steal a lead and the race on the front end once again, and if Arkans Linx can make the most of the great post, she too might have an outside shot at the upset, just like she did in round number 1. (1-4-7-2)

Race 15 – Undefeated Craigie Zuri gets another shot to continue the streak and it looks favorable for her in this effort. She really has come from nowhere, but if you can outbreak and outlast Lk’s Black Gold, you have the goods. Tonight, she gets close early and gets it done late in another heated effort. Flying up late to challenge will be second round winner Lnt Joker from a strong rail post position. During the race the pace will be prompted by Jack’s Mizz Tutu, and they might even have to go and get her if she can see the front end at the start. She is short late though and it will cost her again in this effort. Pat C Alert must not be overlooked either. This greyhound is as fast as she wants to be and can do stellar things on or near the early lead. If she breaks, WATCH OUT! (6-1-4-7)
