Time for the Quarter-Finals of the 2015 bestbet Juvenile and three of our greyhounds remain undefeated so far in the stakes. All have a opportunity to keep the dream alive as they have drawn into separate races, but each will be challenged by some pretty tough competition. Let’s check out the remaining 4 races in the stakes and see if we can’t get you cashing some tickets and making some money on Black Friday at the racetrack.
Quarter-Finals of bestbet Juvenile
Race 7 – Even though there are others to consider here, I’m going with the hot hand. Super pup Lk’s Picketwire has won 3 in a row and 4 of his last 5 starts. He has not missed the money so far and has drawn another great rail post here in the blue blanket. He is looking more like dear old dad, who also raced here, with every start he takes around the oval. From the lead or from off the pace, he finds a way to get it done once again. Pressing the leader late will be the second round winner B Morton’s Fury. Fury is posted well, has enough late speed to challenge, and could be drive up and steal away a win if he is close enough early on. If either of the closers want to win, they will have to catch the early speeders to get it done. For sure Solid grade A Pullanallnighter will be factoring on the lead and there is no doubt that Ww’s Sammy will come to run early from her favorite 1 box. If either can steal enough lengths away early on, they might just be able to wire this field for the upset. (2-8-5-1)
Race 9 – Another highly contested event, but it sets up well for Mac’s Melanie. This greyhound is getting better with every start and with a great outside post position in this effort, she is going to be tough to keep out of the winner’s circle. She has good closing speed and with no huge early speed greyhounds here, she should be within striking distance to the leaders early on. From just off the pace, she should take down this field and score her 2nd win in the rounds. Trying to ruin her plans will be the multi-talented Super C Aria. Posted well on the rail, she will need to come out running from the get go in order to steal away a win on the leader. She has been short in the past, and will never every inch if she wants to upset in this race. Others to consider here are the surprising upstart Kc’s Todd who has 3 wins in 6 races, including one by 5 lengths in round 1, and the solid A who is posted well again and took home a win in round 2 on the lead Easi Kelly. (8-1-6-2)
Race 10 – Arkaska Lotus might have the easiest route to stay undefeated as no one in this race won their last effort, but we do have a pair of first round winners, so it won’t be any sort of a cakewalk. With 4 wins in 5 starts, including the last two in a row, Lotus has the early speed needed to wire this field once again and make it a hat trick. No one here can challenge her for the lead if she breaks, so expect another box to wire romp. Coming on late will be the closing duo of first round winners, along with another that has just missed in both starts in the stakes. Mx Midnite Jazz came from way off the pace, and really ran a winning effort, in round 2 and hopes to keep the mojo alive in this one. Another midtrack post and another good start should be expected for her. Proving that they can get it done, closers Tempo Rock and Ddm’s Black Hole will be flying up the stretch to try and run down the leader before the wire. Both converted routers, you know they can come on late over 550, but if they want a chance to win, they must be closer early on in this effort tonight. (3-4-5-7)
Race 11 – Capping off the evening in the final stakes round, the hottest greyhound in the stake looks to continue her winning streak from a great outside post position. Super C Britni has posted up 4 win in a row, including both rounds of the stakes so far. She has taking all of those wins from off the pace and might have to do it one more time in this effort. She has proved unstoppable in each effort and that will happen once again in this effort. She will not have an easy run though as the inside part of the racetrack will be pushing the pace and factoring late with her at the wire tonight. Ww Char Fontane won in round 1 and has not missed the trifecta in 6 starts in a row, so for sure she will be in the mix at the wire. C Ville Chiller might only have 11 starts, but with 7 in the quiniela and a big time win last time out, she has the skills to win yet again tonight. The post is a bonus and it could help her score again in this one. Let’s not forget about Trackinfo Dutch either. With 2 closing fast 2nd in two rounds of the stakes you can probably bank on her coming on strong again late and challenging for yet another win at the wire in this one. (8-3-2-4)
The semi-finals of the 2015 bestbet Juvenile will run on Monday evening November 30th. We will shave down another race and after that round, we will know just who the finalists are. Remember that we will be having our second chance drawings along with our pick the winner boxes, where 5 lucky people will win $100 each, on Saturday Night for the finals.
