It’s puppy power time at bestbet Jacksonville, as we get to see 64 of the best youngsters at the racetrack, lock up in the first round of the bestbet Juvenile on Friday evening November 20th. Loads of talent here, and even though some are just breaking in, it will prove to be a stout field to cipher through come post time. Let’s take a closer look at the races and see if we can get you cashing some tickets in round 1.
Round 1 of bestbet Juvenile
Friday evening –
Race 3 – A wide open event, but you have to love the talent that the newcomer Lk’s Picketwire brings. Loads of late speed, a favorable post, and a chance to break and dominate just like he did in his last start. He will not be alone here though as the only grade A in the field, Easi Darrell, is right next door and ready to strike late from a great one box. Others to consider is the always trying My First Kiss, and the former grade A Dutch Waldo. (2-1-6-7)
Race 4 – Experience will play a role in this effort as Arkaska Lotus already has some SA races under her belt. Lotus finally gets back to the rail after a 6 race hiatus and that will be the difference in this one. Pressing the winner should be the solid dropper Pat C Andre, long with the tough if I’m close runner Funny Girl. Don’t overlook Easi Fabulous either. If he gets loose early on, he too could upset. (1-4-6-7)
Race 5 – Class takes front stage in this effort as Ww’s Sammy should dominate early from the outside. No one here can break or run with her in the open, so the true race will be for place tonight. Battling it out for that spot should be the well posted closing threat Mx Midnite Jazz, the late charging former stakes competitor Tempo Rock, and talented youngster Saber Rat. (8-2-6-5)
Race 7 – This race could be another one that is decided by inches. Someone has to win though, so I like Easi Dallas. This pup loved the rail and gets it here with the 1 box. Last time out on the rail, a win by 9 lengths! Repeater? Maybe? Not if B Morton’s Fury has anything to say about it. This late charging pup, loves it wide and gets an ideal post here in the 8. If he gets loose, watch out! Others that might factor in the W are the hard trying All-American offspring Gs Vern, along with the must be close early threat Mac’s Melanie.
Race 9 – Red hot running is the call to duty of this effort as Ww’s Cecilia has back to back wins showing. One of only two grade A’s in the field, she has the class thing in full effect and she can win with or without the early lead. Doing what needs to be done, she scores in round 1. Looking to upset the apple cart will be the former stakes competitor Gs Viola, the other grade A and pursuing threat Easi Kelly, and the needs to wake up but could upset them all runner Ch Red Alert. (2-5-3-8)
Race 10 – Rolling the dice, we jump on board with the college student. Pullanallnighter has taken the racetrack by storm and is firing on cylinders right now. With a favorable post and a determined effort, she does enough to take home a victory in this one. Making her crack the books will be the other grade A Ww Char Fontane on the rail, the thick of things runner Gibs On, and the all out late speed threat Jack’s Fireworks. (7-1-2-6)
Race 11 – Another heated contest and it should be an exciting finish to watch as well. Three closers and an early speed greyhound, who you got on top? Me I like Super C Britni. Britni is pretty much all or nothing so far in her career, but All have been really good. With 5 wins in 11 starts, including 4 in her last 6 efforts, she will be tough to stop from off the pace here. Another closer to worry about is C Ville Chiller. This outside post won’t hinder this talented pup. The early speed comes your way by the rail running Pat C Shy Look, and the always in the money, well 10 of 11 official trips, runner Sheezsohot looks to keep up the good work here. (7-6-1-5)
Race 12 – Another duel to the finish might be brewing in this one. With a pair of early speeders, and a pair of closers, it could get very exciting at the wire. Super C Aria has to be the one to beat. With some stellar efforts under her belt so far, and a great outside post, she should clear close and dominate late. If she wants to take home the W she will have to catch the speedy front running duo that is Gs Vivian and Par Speed Ball. Both have skills to wire the field on the front end, but both are short late and will need a long lead to get it done. Don’t sleep on Mexican Senorita either. This solid grade A drop loves the rail and could steal away a win why no one is looking. (8-4-1-2)
Second round action takes place on Monday November 23rd at bestbet Jacksonville. All 8 fields of greyhounds will return as the action heats up.
