Back to the weekend and back to great racing here at bestbet Jacksonville. Loads of talent on tap for you to watch, wager, and win on. Let’s take a closer look at the feature races for this weekend and see if we can get you cashing some tickets.
Friday evening –
Race 7 – Tough to look past the 1 box in this effort. A stakes winner wearing red? Good enough for me. Pat C More Ever breaks better from the inside and should control this race throughout. Looking to make him work hard to win will be his solid grade A stalking neighbor Ww’s Sioux, along with the fast closing duo of the resurging Fireboy and the rested and ready threat Beachin. (1-2-6-4)
Race 10 – The first half of the forced out Twin-Trifecta might just be the best key of the entire weekend. No greyhound is hotter right now that Fiesta Beowolf. Winning 5 of 6 races, including a streak of 4 straight, this guy has not missed the quiniela in his last 6 starts. With a solid break, and gears late, he will take down anyone for yet another win. Oh and did I mention the 1 box. OUCH! Early no doubt whose nose will be in front, the ankle burner Gs Sweetie, but late everyone better be on guard for the always trying runner C Ville Wynter, and the exploding late threat Cp’s Tavern. (1-2-6-8)
Race 11 – Stakes veteran Atascocita Pirro is back on track, and the one box in this race is going to make him tough to beat once again. With back to back jacks showing, he is on top of his game now, and over 550, he can run down anyone to get home with the W! Look for the Hat-trick in this effort. Contesting the pace and forcing Pirro to get on his horse late to win will be a duo of greyhounds that has only missed the money once in their last 6 races. Pat C Eye Opener and Ww’s Glare both have the goods to see the lead, it’s holding on that might be the hardest trick to pull off. Don’t sleep on Paw Patrol either. Granted he is just back in grade A, but he is running well as of late, and he posted up a win last time out from this box. (1-4-5-7)
Saturday matinee –
Race 7 – Battle of the early speeders in this first matinee feature race and sometimes it comes down to all of the advantages with speed is equal. So Cj’s Colin gets the edge over Cheveyo as he has a better post position, winning last time out from the 8, and he is a bit faster and longer in the stretch than Cheveyo. Late both better be wary of the big time solid A closer Ddm’s Black Hole, and if Kali Of Ruckus gets loose early on, she too can scoot. Winning 3 of her last 6 starts, she can’t be forgot about in this one. (8-2-6-3)
Race 11 – Hitting on all cylinders right now, it’s tough to pick against L Sully. Winning 3 straight trips this pup looks ready for grade A, and with loads of late speed, she might be tough to defeat again in this trip around the oval. Veteran names will be trying though. Lee Polly loves the inside and could easily take down the pup, if she decides to break, but so could the always closing factor Dutch Hilary. By Gold Radar is another option in your selections as he has won 3 of his last 6 races, including one in grade A from a similar post position. He must get loose to win. (7-2-8-6)
Saturday evening –
Race 7 – Channeling his younger self, Pat C Gatsby has been on fire recently in grade A. Winning 3 of his last 4 starts and not missing in trifecta in 6 straight, this box popper is poised to make some more noise in this effort. Watch for him to hit the lid, steal a big lead, and survive late for another trip to the winner’s circle in this effort. Trying to get to him before the wire will be a trio of closers and that will have their paws full tonight. Solid grade A Eds Budby Blaze always comes home fast, but could be hindered by the tough outside post in this one. Nomistakeaboutit has also been a grade threat, and has gears at the end of the race that will put him in contention as well. Ww Black Shadow is the third one to worry about here. With a good post, a solid run in the top grade, and good closing speed she too could throw her hat in the ring as an upset candidate tonight. (5-8-6-2)
Race 11 – Wide open race here in the 11th. Several greyhound could win this effort, but only one can get it done. Tah Tool Free looks like the choice to me. Hot off a win, posted in the same box, and enough early speed to see the lead and hold on for the victory. Upstart Gs Brody should challenge as well. Another tough pup show has climbed up to grade A and should force the pace throughout. Late the rested and ready factor Ww’s Triplecrown could drive up and put a late scare into the leaders near the line, and solid grade A Mrl Crying Shame might get overlooked, but with 4 money starts in 6 races, including a win from a similar post, she might be upset minded in this one.
Race 15 – Rest does a body good! Don’t believe me? Check out Bostonstrongiris, who has 3 wins in 4 starts, including one by a monster 9 lengths. Once in front, she is oh, so, tough to beat and that is where she will find herself at the start of this race. From a great rail post, watch for her to seize the lead and hang tough late for the W! Now for the big question mark in the room. Windy Gabby has never run 660 before, but boy does she look like the route will suit her well. If she can break at all, she should be a big time threat in this effort. I don’t think she will be short late either. If you want the longshot of the weekend, you might take a gamble on Gabby in this effort. Veterans will also play a role late as monster closers C Ville C Alice and Gs Daisy May both draw favorable post positions and either could take down the house if the mood suits them. (3-7-8-1)
Sunday matinee –
Race 11 – Capping off the weekend, fans will Flip for the 11th race on the card. Gs Flipper gets the post of the century and will make the most of it in this effort. She has won 2 of her last 3 races from this box, and is back in breaking form once again. Watch for a quick start and for her to hold on late for the victory. Pushing her all the way will be the big time name O Ya Gunsmoke. With shots left to fire off in the stretch, he will make it very interesting at the finish line. If anyone can get home and steal away the win, it will probably be him. Amigos Salsa should also be a factor as she is always around the leaders and always in the money at the wire. Ok well not always, but close enough, I’d take 8 of the last 9 times in the superfecta from anyone. Coming home in a hurry too will be the upstart Done Dusted. Joining the grade A ranks, the winner of 2 of her last 3 races is looking to make a name for herself in this effort. If she gets loose early on, she might just be a longshot to worry about at the finish line. (8-5-1-4)
