The weekend is here again at bestbet Orange Park and we are bringing the high quality races that you want to see.
Loads of great live racing on tap with some of the brightest rising stars on the circuit heading to post over this great weekend of racing.
Get used to the names as you might just see them up close in personal in the upcoming Mayflower Malee in early November, and or, the upcoming Jacksonville Juvenile that starts at the end of the month in November.
On to the races we go.
Friday Evening –
The action gets underway in the 2nd race and we get a great match up in the middle of the racetrack. Fan favorite Warped looks to beam up another win, but she will be hotly contested by her next door neighbor Kay Outlaw. Both can break, both can close, both will factor here. Ww plays a role as normal too with Petty Cash and Head Rush both factoring at the finish line. (4-5-6-1)
In race 7 we jump to 660 and get the king of the hill for this distance in 2012. Snj Black Porter won the derby then and still is a force over the added distance. Here if he wants to win again, he will need to run the always front running threat that is Cayenne Madonna. Newcomers to A should have a shot too, like posted up threat Mega Quandary and the closing Amf Moneylender. (6-7-4-2)
Donnybrook in the 11th as three of the eight are coming off wins in their last grade A effort. No doubt we will be taking them all, but you have to love the post, and three race win streak, of Pat C Gatsby. No out outrushes him to the lead or the wire again. Trying will be Battle of the Sexes stakes winner My Present, and the winner of 4 of her last 6 starts, Kiowa Red Brook. Don’t overlook the ultra closer either. Gs Daisy May will be screaming in the stretch. (1-7-4-3)
Saturday Matinee and Evening –
Straight to the 11th race in the matinee and the impressive upstart, Pat C Buckaroo. Talk about making an early impression, with 4 wins and 6 in the money finishes in his first 6 races, WOW! Here out and gone early on for first grade A win. Threatening throughout will be back to back winner T’s Hi Jacker, cagey veteran Kiowa Mat Marty from a coveted 8 box, and the always around presence of Mega Useful from the rail. (5-4-8-1)
Now for the big guns in the 15th race in the matinee, starting with Country Stanley. Super pup had won 3 straight in fine fashion before missing last time out. Better post, back on track, back in front, back winning. It won’t be a calk walk though as Tc Parker has won 4 of his last 6 races, and Crv’s BIg Mac has won his last 3 races in a row, including his last effort in grade A. Flying Plaxico can’t be missed either as he has won 3 times and been in the trifecta in 6 races in a row. (3-6-1-5)
On to the evening card and the 7th race where Ww’s Work Flow and Atascocita Hoot will be battling for the lead and the win from start to finish in this effort. Hoot is the better breaker and the one to catch, but Work Flow has more left over at the end of the race. Both will be pressed by the Ww’s Quick Flick and Pat C O’Gosh who has both only missed the money once in their last 6 races. Talk about a thriller, this one could come down to a photo finish. (3-4-7-1)
Puppy power in the 11th as the best looking one at the racetrack gets another opportunity to shine. Magic Verizon has won 5 straight races and has not really been challenged in any of those starts. All have come from off the pace, so no matter the lead, she still wins. Next best should belong to the ideally posted D’Bulls Tyvek, followed by the other late chager Ww’s Pour It On, and the overtaken pacesetter Holy Sha Moley. (3-8-4-6)
Back to 660 in the nightcap in the 15th race, and you can’t deny the efforts of Rck Cant Deny It. This greyhound has taken the 660 course by storm and has won 3 straight efforts, including back to back wins in grade A! Posted well again, he breaks and holds tough late for the 4 pack. Giving him a run for his money should be the resurging threat Kiowa Leap, the late KICKER Zoltan Mesko, and the stalking threat Pat Super Easy. (3-1-2-7)
Hot running might as well be the title of the 11th race as half the field won at least their last effort at bestbet Orange Park. In this contested event, you have to do with the hottest hand and that belongs to back to back winner Ww’s Chick A Dee. Finally back in the groove she will be tough to beat again if she breaks. Trying to take her down will be the pressing threat T’s Chugginalong, the amazing upstart, and back to back winner, Se’s Mr. Trophy, and the recent winner Dutch Hero. (6-7-1-5)
No big speeders in the 11th race, so the second half of this one is going to be important to anyone that is going to win. Class is in abundance though as we have some veterans ready to chalk up another win. The real battle should come down to Ww’s Dust Me Off and Shootin Outlites. Both have amazing closing speed and it might just depends on who gets around better early on. Dutch Rudy and Gs April both have great closing speed too and either of them could get by too if the mood suits them. At the wire, it will really crowded today. (4-5-7-3)
