In race 7 we will see a rolling stone keep the streak alive. Ww’s Irish Moss has been outrushing everyone to the lead and the trend continues tonight. From a great outside post, he takes over in time and completes the hat-trick. Always trying from her best box, Kiowa Jill Vik is hot off a win and looking for #68 in her career. Gs Tex will be using his late speed to try and wrangle up the leaders before the wire, and if Rck Eliminator hit the lid, he might just be the one to catch as he vies for the upset. (7-1-6-4)
Tough race in the 1st half of the forced out Twin-Trifecta, but with all things being even, I go with CLASS. Warped has won more races than anyone in this field and she looks to get back on track after a rough trip last time out. Stalking early, she toys with the leaders and then jets by for the win. Gs Kristen is a posted up strong breaker that will set the pace in this effort, but being short, she will have a tough time holding on tonight. Ww’s Dust Me off should be a factor throughout and will make up ground late, and don’t sleep on Rainie Rose. She has gears the others don’t in the stretch and might surprise if she can get around close. (6-7-4-5)
Super pup vs. Wiley veteran in race 11 as Red Oak Racing looks to seal up the quiniela with Ww’s Chick A Dee and Ww’s Musician. Chick A Dee has won 4 straight up to grade A and now has to play with the big boys and girls. She has the tools, she just needs to break and keep her head straight to get it done. Musician is a great early speeder with a stellar post tonight. She will be a threat throughout on the lead and could wire this field if the mood suits her. Making the leaders earn their spot will be the resurging Gs Jersey and the impressive newcomer Jessica Pearson. (6-1-5-7)
Over to 660 for the 15th race and another Battle royal between Gavotte and Pawsox Delgado. The last was a classic as Gavotte broke on top, Delgado drove by and took control, and then Gavotte came again late and just missed at the wire as Delgado held on. Here in almost the same posts, do we get the same results? NO! Still a donnybrook, but Gavotte gets back this time around. Others to worry about here will be the breaking and forcing the pace stars Caitlyns Dream and Par Super Easy, who have both been in the money in 6 straight efforts over the 660 distance. (2-6-4-3)
Saturday Matinee and Evening
In the 11th race for Saturday matinee Orange Park Derby Winner, Safe At Home might be back on top, but he is going to have his hands full with the ship in Decadent. Home is back over 550 and finally draws an inside starting box. He loves it in here and is hot off a win last time out and full of confidence. He will need it to win as Decadent is tearing up the racetrack right now. With 4 wins in 5 races, all from off the pace, she will be a all out threat at the finish line. Another nice looking pup make a run too as Time For Tootsie has 5 straight quinielas and a 30.31 second clocking 2 races back. But don’t forget about puppy stakes runner up Pat C Stonewall either. If she gets the lead, she could beat them all in this effort. (4-2-5-3)
It’s all about the post position in the 15th race in the matinee. Gs Grace might not be lighting up the track as she has in the past, but this is the red box and that is all she needs to win. She is all rail all the time and once in front over 550, SEEYABYE! Here the race is for place! Post also helps out the outside part of the racetrack. The 6, J’s Moonshine, will dive straight to the rail here and give the 7, Rock And Roll, and the 8, Bruno Mars, all the room they needs to chase, press, and close to get into the mix at the wire today. Ww’s Tear Strip will be around too and if she gets loose from this 2 box, she could be tough to beat. IE look back 6 lines! (1-7-8-2)
Dueling pistols is the way we start out Saturday evening. In the 7th on the card, Kay Outlaw and Mega Nitrogen will put on a show for all to see. This pair are posted side by side and should break with each other and challenge throughout. Both have won in A in the past couple of starts, and should be the all out favorites to win again tonight. They will be challenged though and several others have a shot to ruin their plans. Recent hot runners Ww’s Burn and Starz Far Away might have just joined the A ranks, but have the tools to pull off an upset. Both can close, so look for them to threaten in the stretch and contend at the wire. (7-8-2-4)
All bottled up in the middle, Race 11 will be searching for someone to take the early lead. Here the field is almost all closers and it will depend on just who comes to run early that might determined who is going to win. Solid A competitors, and multi grade A winners, My Present and Gs Jock are the oblivious choices to win, but don’t over look Cet Squeaky who pulled off a stunner in his last effort with a stalking throughout never give up attitude. Mega Bacilo could challenge as well as she has not missed the money in 6 straight from off the pace, but if she wants to win, she needs to break much better in this effort. (3-5-6-4)
Now the race you have all been looking forward too! The 15th is a grade A event over the 770 yard course, featuring some really big hitters on the circuit. No doubt you know the names, the only question is how are they going to run this time around. Clearly Gs Cosmo is the man over this route and when he gets close early, usually he is the winner at the wire. This one won’t be a runaway though as he is going to have to catch the speedy breaking Ww’s Sweetie on the front end tonight. Sweetie is thriving over 660, but 770 is a bit longer. Her sister loved it, but I think she will be a bit short late here. Forget the lines on Slick, he is back and always ready to contest over the 770 route and make sure to keep your eye out for Ty Kay Event too. This greyhound seems to show up big over this distance as she normally hits the lid and makes the rest run her down if they want to take home the W! (6-5-8-3)
The inside gets crowded in the 7th race as talent gets piled up. Daddy’s Candle will love this race post and took home a win last time out wearing red. She will outbreak the rest and prove best at the finish line. Pushing the pace throughout will be Cayenne Santana and Ww Head Rush and either could throw their hat in the ring for the win if they can get out of the starting box on top. Both no matter who is in front in this race, everyone better watch out for the strong closing Shootin Outlites. This pup has found his groove again and will be a serious player come the wire in this effort. (1-3-2-4)
Class, Speed, Braking, Streaking, Posted, and Winning, Kiowa Mat Marty has everything going for him in this effort. Here Marty is the class of the field, he has the best early speed, has no braking greyhounds around him, he has won 4 of his last 5 races, and he is starting from a great post position. What more could you ask for? The lock of the weekend in my opinion, so figure out who you are going to play behind him and cash some tickets! For me I like the shipper T’s Chugginalong. Once race around the track under her belt keeps her grounded in the corner this time around as she forces the pace from box to wire. Happy Hour Hero could challenge too if he decides that he wants to break and make up for a lackluster last effort, and Atascocita Hemp is a strong closer that loves the rail post position. If he gets around in contention, he too could make it interesting at the wire. (2-5-1-6)
