BESTBET GOES ALL-IN FOR HABIJAX
Dozens of bestbet employees were on hand to admire their work and congratulate the new owners of a Habitat for Humanity of Jacksonville home. The new owners, Abdul Mohamed and Shitto Robale, closed on their three bedroom home on August 30, after completing 300 hours of volunteer service required for Habijax homeownership. Originally from Eastern Africa, Abdul and Shitto have lived in the United States for four Years. Abdul works as a self-employed taxi driver and the couple has a two-year-old son, Nabil. The bestbet team worked on the project one-day-a-week for two months as framers, painters and roofers. bestbet also donated and installed a large screen TV for the family’s new home.
“We are very happy for Abdul and his family and hope they have many wonderful years in their new home,” said Jamie Shelton, bestbet’s chief financial officer. “Just as important, I am very proud of our employees, not only for their efforts on this project, but for their unwavering enthusiastic attitude and commitment to volunteering and serving in our community in which they live and work.”
